Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Negombo
- Upon arrival at the airport, connect with your tour guide and transfer to your stay in Negombo.

Day 2- Anuradhapura
- On the second day, head to Anuradhapura - considerably the first kingdom of Sri Lanka.

Day 3- Anuradhapura
- Explore more ancient sights today with a visit to Mihintale, where Buddhism first came to Sri Lanka, according to ancient histories.

Day 4- Polonnaruwa
- After breakfast, drive to Sri Lanka’s second most ancient kingdom, Polonnaruwa. This was the first declared capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated Chola invaders in 1070.
- Afterwards, visit Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park for a short safari.

Day 5- Sigiriya - Dambulla - Kandy
- In the morning, climb the Sigiriya Rock, an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla. This site consists of historical and archaeological significance and is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.
Continue towards Kandy via Dambulla to see cave temples and the Nalanda Gedige.

Day 6- Kandy
- In the morning, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic - a charming place of relevance for Buddhism. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
- Afterwards, go for a Kandy city tour.
- Later, see the Royan Botanical Garden at Peradeniya.

Day 7- Nuwara Eliya
Today, head to Nuwara Eliya.
On the way, visit a tea factory to get a demonstration of how tea is made.
See some beautiful waterfalls and do a city tour at Nuwara Eliya in the evening.

Day 8- Horton Plains National Park
- Today, go to the Horton Plains National Park, a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka that is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest.
- Visit this park followed by an exciting train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella.

Day 9- Ella
- We will visit the 9 arch bridge in the morning followed by a hike towards Little Adam's peak. It's worth going up there and having a 360-degree view of mountain areas.
- In the evening, head towards Tissamaharama where the Yala National Park is.
- Midway, take a halt at the Ravana falls.

Day 10- Yala - Galle
- Explore Yala National Park, a vast forest grassland bordering the Indian Ocean in southeast Sri Lanka.
- Enjoy a quick jeep safari here and spot a variety of wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species.
- Enjoy a beach stay at Galle beach.
