Description
Embark on a culture and history tour of Sri Lanka, starting from Colombo and continue to Polonnaruwa to explore its major attractions such as the Archeological Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Buddha statue at Lankatilaka. Head to Sigiriya Royal Palace, explore the royal botanical garden in Kandy along with the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Also, see the Rawana Ella waterfall, safari in Yala National Park, look at the Hummanaya blowhole, go scuba diving and snorkelling in Bentota.
Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from the airport - Negombo
- Get picked up from the airport and then drive to Negombo.
- See the highest fish market and relax on the beach.
Stay overnight in Negombo.

Day 2: Negombo - Polonnaruwa
- You will be taken to Polonnaruwa, which was the capital of Sri Lanka for about 200 years and finally the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya and Polonnaruwa was conquered by Indian king Kaling Magha.
- You can visit the Archeological Museum, the Royal Palace, Audience Hall, Sacred Quadrangle, Shiva Devale, Pabalu Vehera, Rankot Vihara, Kiri Vihara, Buddha statue at Lankatilaka, Buddha figures at Gal Vihara. It normally takes 5-6 hours to visit the entire kingdom in Polonnaruwa.
Stay overnight in Polonnaruwa.

Day 3: Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya
- Drive to Sigiriya. Following tourist activities are remarkable in Sigiriya, including village tour to experience ancient village life with their day-to-day activities including oxen cart rides, catamaran rides, walk towards paddy fields, cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods and enjoy a traditional meal.
- You can dedicate the whole evening to visit the eight world-wonder of Sigiriya Royal Palace. You will witness the marvellous landscapes, irrigation technology and aesthetic abilities of ancient Sinhalese culture.
Stay overnight there.

Day 4: Sigiriya - Kandy
- Drive to Kandy and visit the largest royal botanical garden, which is covered by colourful flower plants, herbal plants, endemic and epidemic plant species and palm family trees, including more than 4000 varieties can be seen here.
- Then you will be heading to the viewpoint of Kandy.
- Enjoy the Kandyan dancing event in the evening between 5.00 p.m. To 6.00p.m.
- Finally, visit the temple of the tooth relic. The most sacred molar tooth of the lord buddha is placed in seven golden caskets under a golden ceiling.
Spend the night in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy - Adam's Peak
- Drive to Adams Peak, another world heritage and multi-religious place in Sri Lanka. It is an isolated mountain peak of 7359 feet above sea level. Adams peak is another sacred, higher value and the most attractive place among local and foreign tourists. The season begins from the full moon on Poya day. In December and ends on the full moon poya day in May. It isn't easy to climb the rock during the weekend because it is too crowded with local pilgrims at the weekends.
- You can start the journey in the evening or at midnight to avoid the heat of the sun at day time Sun rising is another amazing scenery we can see on the top of the hill, and the temperature is less than 15 Celcius Therefore make sure to pack warm clothes and equipments according to your needs.
Stay overnight on top of the mountain.

Day 6: Adam's Peak - Ella
- In the morning session, witness a magical sunrise and return to the hotel.
- In the evening, drive to Ella, and stay overnight there.

Day 7: Ella - Tissamaharama
- Drive to Tissamaharama.
- You can see the wonderful Rawana Ella waterfall soon after passing Ella. Rawana Ella is the widest fall in Sri Lanka as well as it is more attractive By 2.00 p.m.
- After that, you can join the Yala safari. It is an interesting and most popular event among tourists as it is the second-largest wildlife reservoir in Sri Lanka. It contains a higher density of leopards population, a national park in the world. If you are lucky, you can also take a glimpse of leopards.
Stay overnight in Tissamaharama.

Day 8: Tissamaharama - Mirissa
- Drive to Mirissa.
- On your way, you can see Hummanaya blowhole and turtle hatchery. Hummanaya blow hole pumps seawater up to 40 feet from a natural hole between two closest rocks and splints water into the sky.
Stay the night in Mirissa.

Day 9: Mirissa - Hikkaduwa
- Dolphins and whales watching tour begins at 6.00 a.m., and nearly you will have to spend 04 hours completely.
- Next, you can see still fishing and drive to world heritage “Galle Fort”, built by the Portuguese and reconstructed during the Dutch period.
You will stay the night at Hikkaduwa.

Day 10: Hikkaduwa - Bentota
- Firstly go to see the coral reefs and enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling under the safety supervision of well-experienced professionals. Hikkaduwa coastal area is most suitable for surfing during November to April months.
- In the evening, you can enjoy the Madhu riverboat safari and get natural fish therapy for self-relaxing.
Stay the night at Bentota.

Day 11: Bentota - Drop off at Colombo airport
- You will be dropped off at the airport according to your flight departure time.
