Itinerary

1. Day 1: Airport to Negombo (11 kms)

   • On arrival, be welcomed by our tour representative and transfer to Negombo. 
   • On your way to Negombo, observe the lifestyle of the Sri Lankan people. It might be a small distance, but you will learn a lot from it.
   • Once you reach the hotel, go to the beach and enjoy some fresh air. 
   • Explore the Dutch Fort.
   • Relax the whole day.

2. Day 2: Negombo

   • After a delicious breakfast, enjoy yourself in Negombo. The fine sandy beaches of Negombo has been mostly unexplored but less crowded as most tourists use the town for the first or the last night of their stay in Sri Lanka. Fine beach stretches are maintained well by the hotels, while some are always busy with fisherman and their equipment. Equipment for water sports such as diving, windsurfing is available at most hotels and private vendors.

3. Day 3: Negombo to Dambulla (130 kms)

   • In the morning, after enjoying a yummy breakfast at the hotel in Negombo, proceed to Dambulla - famous for Dambulla Rock Temple, which dates back to the 1st-century BC.
   • This temple was constructed by King Walagambahu and today stands as a renowned World Heritage Site. You are sure to be awestruck by these impressive cave temples of Sri Lanka. The temple's complex has five caves adorned with more than 2000 sq. m of painted walls and ceilings. Hence, the temple owns the reputation of being the largest area of paintings found around the world. This beautiful temple comprises over 150 Buddha images, of which the largest is the giant structure of the Buddha carved out of a rock.

4. Day 4: Sigiriya

   • Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
   • Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a World Heritage Site constructed by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD) in the 5th century. The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the dense forest. The rock was the innermost behold of the 70-hectare town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens, including the renowned water gardens, ring the base of the rock.
   • Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a protected pocket of the rock approached by a curved stairway. These frescoes are painted with earth pigments on plaster.

5. Day 5: Dambulla to Kandy (80 Kms)

   • In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel in Dambulla.
   • Go to Kandy, the previous capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures a vision of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions, and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. The Kandy Lake was constructed by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, in 1798.
   • Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary.
   • Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy.
   • Thereafter witness a cultural show.

6. Day 6: Kandy to Beruwala (170 Kms)

   • After breakfast, transfer to the hotel in Beruwala. 
   • Explore the Beruwala Port, lighthouse and enjoy boating.

7. Day 7: Beruwala

   • On this day, you can do many things to enjoy yourself. You can swim or fight with the waves in the sea all year round. You can unwind yourself sitting on the beach sand, gazing at the spectacular vistas of the sea blending with the multi-hued skies.
   • Enjoy water sports and BBQ night.

8. Day 8: Beruwala

   • Eat breakfast at a hotel in Beruwala. 
   • Explore Beruwala City and go fishing.

9. Day 9: Beruwala

   • Enjoy breakfast at a hotel in Beruwala. 
   • The whole day at leisure in Beruwala.

10. Day 10: Beruwala to Airport (110 Kms)

    • Have breakfast at the hotel in Beruwala. 
    • Transfer from Colombo to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
