Mekong, Pak Ou Caves & Kuang Si Falls
- Meet the tour guide at an agreed-upon location in Luang Prabang and start the tour.
- Make a leisurely two-hour boat journey along the Mekong and reach the mysterious ‘Cave of a thousand Buddhas’ at Pak Ou (the mouth of the Ou River).
- Enjoy Mekong riverside scenery: villages, local fishermen, trade vessels, and dramatic, precipitous mountain scenery!
- Explore the Pak Ou Caves. They are a group of two caves on the west side of the Mekong river.
- Stop at a riverside village to learn about local village life and to sample the famous ‘Lao Lao' rice wine.
- Explore the Kuang Si Falls, the most beautiful and famous waterfall in Laos. Swim in the turquoise waters, revel in the beautiful surroundings and relax.
- Visit a sanctuary that rehabilitates bears rescued from animal traders or from deforested habitats.
- Head back to the hotel/accommodation at the end of the tour.
