Itinerary

1. Day 1: Charyn Canyon and Kolsay Lake #1

   • Get picked up at your hotel and start the spectacular journey to the unseen natural museum called the Valley of Castles. 
   • On the way you'll find out the story of travelers who came here for the first time with no maps and no idea what to expect. They met dangerous animals and with the risk for their lives the reserched these vast territories and became famous. You'll find out about the fromation of the mountains, the native names, translations and meanings of names.
   • Stop at the local open road market to buy some food for our lunch. You'll see the beauty of the asian markets and taste delicious Kazak barbecu or samsa. It's area famous with its tomatoes and tobacco.
   • As we continue our journey you will see the vast beauty of our country, splendid vallies and magnificent gorges.
   • 4 hours later we arrive to the magnificent open air museum. Take a hike on the top of it to see its beaty and take photes. After that we go down to the groge to feel the quitness of this place (if it's a working day). That's the best place to feel the nature and to look deep in your heart to understand where you're going and why. In such moments you start to enjoy your life and realise how to make it better. 1 hour hike and we are at the valley near the river. We enjoy, eat, talk and feel the freshness of life. After that we take a tourist bus back from the valley and continue our trip on a beatiful landscapes. 
   • 2 hours after we arrive to Kolsay lake #1. We can have a snack at the local restaurant and hike, enjoy, feel the nature, take unforgettable photoes and take a boat tour at the sunset if time allows.
   • After that we go down the hill and stay overnight in a local guest house at Saty village.

2. Day 2: Kaindy lake and return to Almaty

   • Get up early and after breakfast go to meet the sunrise at the top of the mountains with a magnificent view of the valley and river down the hill. It is 2-2,5 hours trekking.
   • We return by the time when the local 4WD tourist vehicle will take us to Kaiyndy lake. 
   • You may have a horseback ride to the lake from the parking spot or hike there. The hike will take 1 hour when a horse ride take 30 minutes. In order to enjoy the trip, take a horse to save you energy. 
   • See a mysterious view of the lake with the top of flooded fir-trees on its surface.
   • Take some rest at the lake or hike to another side of the lake if you can't stop to see more.
   • Have lunch in Saty village in a local cafe and after that we can go back to Almaty.
