Hi! I am Steve ( Sang gil LEE in Korean).I am a Certified Guide to the Korean Tourism Organization. As a licensed Korean tour guide.I have organized various events all over the Korean peninsula ranging from Art Tours in Jeju Island to Slow Food Tours in Gwangju, visits to thousand years old traditional sites of Buddhas and temples in Woonju Sa and escorted tours to the DMZ (Korea's Demilitarized Zone). In the past, I have worked as a producer at a major TV network in Korea (MBC) and have also been a visiting Professor of Animation at a University. As for my previous career, I served as a military officer in the DMZ (Frontline between South & North Korea) and later worked as a Vice President for the Korea Contents Agency under Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
All of these reasons are why I can offer memorable tour guiding experiences anywhere on the peninsula on request.I have not only the historical knowledge of Korea's customs and traditions but also in-depth information about the current socio-political situation in Korean society.
My own personal interests are varied - from the film industry to local artists, national and international culture and politics.I can bring to you an authentic Korean experience - you can even enjoy the exotic monks dance! But most of all, I will be very happy to introduce our beautiful mountains, beach and countryside scenery along with our healthy (or unhealthy?) local food and drink experiences - your choice!
I have enough information about the restaurants that only the local residents know about it and can fit your tastes and budget.
I have lived and traveled abroad a lot including stays in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Swiss, Netherland, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
I hope you can enjoy your local experience and have the chance of meeting warmhearted Koreans along the way!
