Description
You will travel through picturesque countryside and rural villages approximately 102km in the north-east direction to the Koh Ker temple group known as Lingapura – another ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Scattered over a large area, the most prominent temple of this group by far is the pyramid-like Prasat Thom. A wooden staircase has been repaired recently and it is now again possible to climb up and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding region. On a clear day one can see the Kulen Mountain range in the south-west direction and Dangrek Mountain in the north. This former capital city of the Khmer Empire for a brief period, between 928-941 C.E. under its founder King Jayavarman IV is located centrally between three other Cambodian World Heritage Sites - Preah Vihear, Angkor, and Sambor Prei Kuk.

Pick up at 8am and meet your tour guide at lobby of the hotel.
Travel through picturesque countryside and rural villages approximately 102km in the north-east to the Koh Ker temple group – another ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Scattered over a large area, the most prominent temple of this group by far is the pyramid-like Prasat Thom. On a clear day one can see the Kulen Mountain range in the south-west direction and Dangrek Mountain in the north, marking the border with Thailand.
