Itinerary

1. Day 1- Siem Reap

   • Meet the local tour guide and take a boat ride to Tonle Sap Lake. This is an excellent opportunity to see how the people of this village live.

   • See Les Artisan D’Angkor, a workshop that teaches the unique craft of wood and stone carving in the traditional style of classic Cambodian artistry.

   • Also if time permits, view sunset at Phnom Bakheng.

   Welcome buffet dinner at a local restaurant with Apsara Dance Show.

2. Day 2- Siem Reap

   • After breakfast, set off along what is known as the Angkor short circuit.

   • Visit stunning temples such as Ta Prohm, with huge forest overgrowth.

   • Cycle along the Eastern gate of Angkor Thom before exploring the famous Bayon Temple.

   • After relaxing for lunch, visit the splendid temple of Angkor Wat. 

3. Day 3- Siem Reap

   • Visit the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire. It is known as the Roluos Group due to its proximity to the modern town of Roluos.

   • Then proceed to visit Beng Melea Temple, which is located about 50km from Siem Reap Town.

4. Day 4- Siem Reap

   • Explore Kulen Mountain, on which Jayavarman II initiated the royal ‘god of the king’ linga cult in 802AD, declaring a unified and independent Khmer Empire under a single ruler and beginning what would later become known as Angkor period.

   • Spend half-day at your own leisure.

5. Day 5- Departure

   • Enjoy shopping at the local markets.

   • Transfer to the airport.
