Chom Reab Sur (How do you do) ladies and gentlemen!

I am Makara, but you can call me Mak.I was born in 1994 and grew up on a farm in Kampot province, about 450 km from Angkor Wat temple.I completed high school in 2012.Soon after, I decided to move to Siem Reap, the most famous tour destination of Cambodia and earned a Bachelor Degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) at the university of Build Bright in 2016.When I study year two at the university in 2013, I took the tourist guide exam and I successfully passed.Then, I joined the training course for one year which organized by ministry of Tourism of Cambodia.

Before being a guide, I had studied and worked at the same time.I worked at the hotel as a guest relation, auditor and taught English as a second language at the private school for a while.During Covid-19 pandemic, I have been working short term contract as a translator at HALO Trust Cambodia, my job is to translate with the expat trainees about demining, especially we practice at the real mine field, learn about the type of UXOs, mines, history of Cambodia during civil war.

I am now an active licensed professional tourist guide acknowledged by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and have been guiding tours all over Cambodia as well as in Siem Reap since 2014.I love being a personal tourist guide in terms of bringing travelers to learn and discover about the local authentic city, rich cultures, histories, religions, architectures, daily life of Cambodian people and others which make my country so special.

With my professionalism, I am able to offer travelers with excellent services and enjoyable activities during the trip in Cambodia.I pride myself on my ability to add personal touches to every tour I conduct.It is extremely important that my clients return home with experiences to remember.I am completely flexible as far as times and itineraries are concerned.I operate on your schedule, at your pace, with your comfort, desires and wishes as my highest priorities.
