Sail through & Explore Kompong Kleang
8.00 am: Pick up by the tour guide up from your hotel and bring you on the way with a brief description of the biggest freshwater lake in Asia. The lake is two-times bigger than Singapore and nets out 20 tonnes of fishes every day.
- Stop midway to see the village making a bamboo cake. It is the most famous village in Siem Reap where people prepare the cake in the bamboo hole.
Proceed till the next stop, which is a small friendly local market. It will give you a chance to see and shoot some pictures of the local life.
Find in the Southeast of Siem Reap, on the small rail, more of the local lives and nature on the way.
Mingle in the community of Kompong Kleang.
Walk and talk through the village and educate you about the local life of the people in the community. Explore their schools, Buddhist Monasteries, and their local legends.
Board the big private boat that will take you through the channel that was built thousands of years ago. This waterway was used by the people to transport their goods to Angkor City. Witness the high stilt houses standing high up to 12 meters on both sides of the channel and take the most beautiful shot for a picture.
Sail on the boat to see the Great Lake and people who live in the forever floating houses.
