Itinerary

1. Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi

   • Arise in the morning, meet you drive guide who will greet you and brief you about the trip and hit the road to Bwindi.
   • You will have a stopover at the Equator where you take pictures, engage in the Equator experience and proceed to Mbarara for lunch and thereafter hit the road to Bwindi, arriving in the evening, connect to your lodge to check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural tour

   • Arise in the morning for a scrumptious breakfast, and meet your driver guide, who will transfer you to the briefing center, you will be briefed about gorilla trekking, and you will be allocated a gorilla family to track, always eight people are allowed to track a given gorilla family and 1 hour is always given to you to spend with them. 
   • After gorilla tracking, you will return to the park headquarters to receive a gorilla trekking permit and be transferred back to the lodge to freshen up as you wait to go to the Batwa community in the evening. 
   • The Batwa will welcome you, sing for you, dance for you, they will tell you the ancient stories of how they lived in the forests. Return to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and relaxation. 

3. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and canoeing

   • You will wake up in the morning on a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. 
   • This is about 1 and half hours to arrive at the lake. 
   • You will be mesmerised by the cool ambience of the area, the breathtaking scenery and cool breaths. 
   • You will connect to the lodge for check-in and later engage in any activity that you wish. 
   • You can decide to do zip lining, canoeing or swimming since this is the only lake that is bilharzia free. 
   • You will have lunch and do any undone activity, retire to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

4. Day 4: Check out and transfer back to Kampala

   • On the last leg of your safari, your will greet your intestines with a scrumptious breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide ad hit the road to Kampala. 
   • This is going to be a long day f driving however it is going to be very enjoyable. 
   • You will enjoy Uganda’s local delicacies in Mbarara at Igongo country hotel, you visit the museum as well if time allows, and you will later embark on the journey to Kampala to be dropped at the airport for your flight to the next destination.
