Itinerary

1. Day 01: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

   • At 8 o’clock, you will be picked up from your hotel in the city center/Westland and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, from which you will have a breathtaking view of the Rift Valley floor. 
   • You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch. 
   • At 4:00 pm, depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve, which ends at 6:00 pm. 
   • Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner, ending with a good time resting at Miti Mingi camp.

   Dinner and overnight at Rhino camp/similar Camp.

2. Day 02: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

   • Have breakfast at 6:30 am and 7 am, and leave for a full-day game viewing in the park. 
   • On this day, spend the whole day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five hippos and Nile crocodiles. 
   • Afterwards, go for a picnic lunch in the park under a Croton tree shade overlooking the park's vast landscape. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

3. Day 03: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha

   • Take your breakfast, check out, and drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving on time for lunch at the hotel.
   • In the evening, walk along the lake and take an hour's boat ride for bird watching and hippo viewing.
   • Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake on the Rift floor, is home to various species. Over 450 species have been recorded here.

4. Day 04: Lake Naivasha to Lake Bogoria

   • After breakfast, drive to Lake Bogoria. Arrive in time for lunch.
   • Later, go to the hot springs and geysers for a guided walk along the lake for bird viewing.
   • Spot birds of all kinds, over 450 species. 
   • Later, drive to Bogoria Spa.

   Dinner and overnight at the Lake Bogoria spa.

5. Day 05: Lake Bogoria to Nairobi

   • After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go on a guided bird walk along Lake Baringo. 
   • Later, you will return to the lodge for an early lunch. 
   • After that, you will check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening with a drop-off at the Pride Inn Plaza Hotel.

   Dinner and overnight: Pride Inn Plaza.

6. Day 06: Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park

   • Breakfast at the hotel, and at 7 am, you are picked up and driven to Tsavo East National Park through the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. 
   • Arrive in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch.
   • In the evening, proceed to the game viewing in the park. Bird watching is best between October and January, with many migratory birds, including African skimmers, red and yellow bishops, goshawks, buffalo weavers and palm nut vultures, to name but a few. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the park, including ostriches, kestrels, buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds and herons.

7. Day 07: Full day Tsavo East National Park

   • Have an early breakfast, Counter-check your birding equipment and start your game drive with a packed lunch in the park. 
   • In the evening, have your dinner and overstay at Voi Wildlife Lodge. This vast area is an excellent Birding country, popular with specialist birding safaris. Notable species recorded include the rare Basra Reed Warbler, Friedmann’s Lark, Ostrich, Blue Quail, Violet Wood hoopoe, Martial and Crowned Eagle.

8. Day 08: Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park

   • Early breakfast followed by check out. 
   • Then, have a short game drive enroute to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. 
   • In the evening, we have a game drive in the park. Amboseli is popular with birders as well as Elephant watchers. Over 400 species, including at least 40 raptors, have been recorded. Notable species include the Lesser Flamingo, ducks, darters and herons nesting in the wetlands, and birds of prey, including a small population of martial eagles.

9. Day 09: Full Day Amboseli National Park

   • After an early morning breakfast, we will leave for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch in search of its famous residents, such as the well-known predators and their opponents, the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo, with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. 
   • We will later return to AA Lodge Amboseli.

   Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge Amboseli.

10. Day 10: Amboseli to Nairobi

    • Early morning Breakfast. After breakfast, check out with a short game drive en route from Amboseli to Nairobi. 
    • When you arrive, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the Airport
