Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Naivasha

   • You will be picked up from the airport or your overnight hotel in Nairobi by our office representative and driver guide.
   • After the safari briefing, depart for Lake Naivasha through the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
   • On arrival, have lunch, and later in the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride and a tour of Crescent Island.

   Meals and Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

2. Day 2: Lake Naivasha – Samburu National Reserve

   • After breakfast, your journey on this day will take you to Samburu National Reserve.
   • Afternoon at leisure, followed by your first game drive, is a search of Samburu Special (Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx).
   • Drive back to your camp for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

   • Explore this unique reserve that is home to the Samburu special for a full day. The bird life here is vibrant, an ideal destination for bird watchers' safaris.

4. Day 4: Samburu – Aberdare National Park

   • Depart after breakfast, arriving in good time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club, the base hotel for The Ark Lodge.
   • After lunch, you will be transferred to The Ark for a night of game viewing at Aberdare National Park.

5. Day 5: Aberdare National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park

   • Transfer to the base hotel for breakfast after a cup of Kenyan tea or coffee. It will be a good time for lunch with a stopover at the Thomson Falls to arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park.
   • Game drive till sunset in the late afternoon. This is home for Reticulated Giraffes, both black and white rhinos.
   • Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

6. Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara

   • Depart to Maasai Mara, driving further through the Great Rift Valley.
   • Lunch will be at your overnight camp/lodge.
   • As the hot sun starts going down, depart for your first game drive till sunset. Maasai Mara National Reserve is the best destination to climax your safari.

7. Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve

   • Explore the Mara with a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive. No two game drives are the same; each one is exciting in its own way.
   • Optional activities include visiting the Maasai Village, Nature Walk, and balloon Safari.

   All meals will be at your overnight lodge/camp.

8. Day 8: Maasai Mara - Nairobi

   • Have breakfast followed by a leisurely drive to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
   • Lunch will be on you.
   • Drop off at your city hotel or airport for your onward flight.
