I was born and raised in Siaya County, a region rich in Western Kenya birds.It was here that I nurtured my passion for travel and exploration.I hold a Diploma in Wildlife Management from the Wildlife Research and Training Institute, formerly Known as the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute.I further completed the Certificate Course in Fundamentals of Ornithology from (Nature Kenya, Tropical Biology, A Rocha Kenya, and National Museums of Kenya - combined training).

During my campus studies I served as the Institutes Birdwatching Club Chairperson.Am an active volunteer at the National bird counts for the rift valley lakes organised by the National Museums of Kenya.I compiled a Checklist to the Birds of Giraffe Centre and Launched new birding trails during my volunteers’ programmes with the organization.

I’ve had the Privilege to work at A Rocha Kenya as Terrestrial Research and Conservation Assistant.During my time with the organization, I got the opportunity to study Birds and other Wildlife species in the Coastal Kenya remarkable Important Birds Areas (IBAs) and in Birding Hotspots such as Arabuko Sokoke Forest, Mida Creek, Lake Jilore, Sabaki River Estuary, Gongoni Salt Pans, Tana Delta and Dakatcha Woodland.I also served as a Data Capture Clark intern with the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) \Data Management Programme.

I’ve Worked with renown East African Tour Company, Where I served as a Tour Guide Intern, during my time of working for tour company, I got the opportunity to take different clients to different Major Birding and Big game Safari Circuits/Destinations in Kenya, showing them the beauty of the different birds and nature in general as well as learning from different company guides.I’ve had the opportunity to do a successful beyond the Boarder Birding and nature Safaris on the capacity of freelance Tour guide.

I am an active Citizen Scientist with the Kenya Bird Map Project as well as an active eBird programmes, The two (eBird and Kenya Bird Map) are online database of bird observations providing scientists, researchers, and amateur naturalists with real-time data about bird distribution and abundance.I further Contribute greatly to Mammal Mapping programs via the Makenya app and the Inaturalist platform.I’m an active member of Nature Kenya – the East Africa Natural History Society.I’m a talented Wildlife Photographer and skilled at ringing/Banding Birds.Am currently working as a Freelance Tour Guide, I’ve guided both hard-core birding tours and general nature tours.
