Itinerary

1. Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

   Pick up from Nairobi hotel or airport in the morning. Drive to Masai Mara, a 5-hour drive to the main gate, via The Great African Rift Valley escarpment and the famous Masai Town, Narok. Check in at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drives through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, and other members of the Big Five plus other animals—dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp.

2. Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

   Early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy a full day in the park with a packed lunch in search of its popular residents. The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season, early July to end September; zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, and Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, as leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos, as are very large Nile crocodiles, are abundant in the Mara River and wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. Later, meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp.

3. Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

   Early morning breakfast. After breakfast, leave Masai Mara for Lake Naivasha, a 5-hour drive to Naivasha. You will arrive around lunchtime. Check in at Sopa Lodge Naivasha and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, go for a game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park, which allows walking safaris, hiking, bicycle rides, rock climbing, wildlife photography, and a visit to the geothermal power plant. Later, dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge Naivasha.

4. Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli

   Early morning breakfast. After breakfast, check out and leave Lake Naivasha for Amboseli National Park, a 5-hour drive to Amboseli Park. There will be a stop to view the Great Rift Valley scenery as you proceed to Amboseli National Park, which lies at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive with a short game drive, proceeding to your lodge for check-in and lunch. Check-in at Oltukai Lodge. Later in the afternoon, enjoy more game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography. Elephants, lions, cheetahs, and buffalos can be seen in the swamp area. Later, dinner and overnight at Oltukai Lodge.

5. Day 5: Amboseli – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

   Early morning game drives return to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, leave Amboseli for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary with a game en route, a 3-hour drive to Taita Hills Sanctuary Park. You will arrive at Taita Hills Sanctuary around lunchtime, have lunch at Taita Hills Lodge, and then transfer to Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge afterwards. Afternoon game drive in Taita Hills Sanctuary hosts cape buffalo, African bush elephant, African leopard, Masai lion, Tanzanian cheetah, Masai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and other smaller animals, including a great diversity of birdlife. Later, dinner at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge with all rooms has a private viewing balcony commanding views of the adjacent Taita Hills.

6. Day 6: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to Mombasa

   Early morning breakfast game en route. Drive out of Taita Hills Sanctuary and head to Mombasa. 4 and half hours drive to Mombasa. You will arrive in Mombasa around lunchtime; we will drop you off either on the north coast of Mombasa or Diani South coast of Mombasa at your respectful hotel or airport.
