Hej! My name is Chiara Martinetti and I am from Desenzano del Garda, Italy.I have been working as tourist guide in Stockholm since 2007 and I mostly guide in German and Italian.I would like to show you Stockholm going deep into its history and its culture, visiting even its lesser known places and not stopping us at a superficial glance at the Swedish capital.I like to show Stockholm walking through its large green spaces contrasting with the small streets of its medieval old town, passing by the different epoques of Stockholm's architectural styles and enjoying the beauty of its central archipelago, but on request I can also arrange excursions by public transportation. If you are going to spend some days in the swedish capital, I can help you in descovering other interesting places in Stockholm's vicinity. We can visit Uppsala (4th largest city in Sweden and seat of the oldest center of higher education in Scandinavia founded in 1477) having a stop in Sigtuna, Sweden's oldest town (30km from Uppsala and about 50km from Stockholm).I can also show you the medieval castle of Gripsholm (located by lake Mälaren about 60km west of Stockholm) or the beautiful Drottningholm Palace, residence of the swedish royal family and UNESCO World Heritage site since 1991.
