I am Michele Arpa , 57 years old, Neapolitan, licensed tourist guide of the Campania Region. I have always lived in Naples , and have always been in love with it. My photo has in the background the books of art, history, archeology that I study to always be ready to do my job at best. Which is not easy, given the continuous new discoveries, the correction of the previous hypotheses on the findings, the meanings of the works, the opening of new museum exhibitions. A tough, difficult, demanding job even from a physical point of view. But undoubtedly of great beauty, but also of great autonomy, freedom, creativity. A job unknown to many, but very important to make tourists, or lovers of our cultural and natural heritage appreciate its different facets, sometimes the most hidden aspects, saving the most important treasure we have at our disposal: time! From this point of view, holidays are one of the busiest times of the year, a limited space to be lived to the fullest of our possibilities. And this is especially true for those who come to visit our country from distant lands. Having a guide who accompanies us is therefore not only essential, but highly productive, because we can see the most significant places in the area in a short time, acquiring the most important historical and artistic knowledge. Campania, the region where I work, has the highest number of UNESCO SITES in the world, starting from the excavations of Pompeii, Herculaneum, the Temples of Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, up to the historic center of Naples, the most vast of Europe. And next to the archaeological sites, the museums, there are the natural beauties: Capri, Ischia, the Amalfi coast, are just some of the corners of paradise that you must write down in your travel diary! So imagine a holiday in Campania in its most important sites without having a guide at our side: it would truly be a titanic undertaking!A guide is a friend who has studied the things you have not had time to study, who advises you on what to see, where to eat, how to move safely in the city, managing your time and money resources in the best possible way. And, obviously, behind the professional "guide" there is the "person" guide, with his personal history, his passions, which are very often discovered during visits. However, I will not leave you on your toes to immediately tell you something more about me, telling you right away that if you love music, and the Neapolitan one in particular, I could surprise you by singing one of the famous ones!At this point you have no more excuses to call you by your side for a guided tour of the wonders of my land!
I wait for you ...
