Description
Spend a day in Bergamo as locals do! We’ll meet at your hotel and start the day with a traditional Italian breakfast. We will stop by a historic bar for coffee and a fresh croissant, just like the locals. Then, we will explore the Lower City (Città Bassa), visiting places like Porta Nuova, the beautiful Sentierone walkway, and Piazza Pontida. This area is full of hidden gems, with small shops and historical buildings that give it a unique charm.
From there, we’ll begin our journey up to the historic Upper City (Città Alta), either by the funicular or by foot, enjoying the views along the way. For lunch, we’ll stop at a traditional restaurant to enjoy Bergamo’s local cuisine, made with love and tradition. In the Upper City, you’ll feel transported back in time as we stroll through its medieval streets, visit Piazza Vecchia, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and see the stunning Colleoni Chapel.
Then, we’ll head to San Vigilio Hill for a walk. At sunset, we’ll enjoy a beautiful view over Bergamo with a relaxing aperitif, the perfect way to end the day.
