Museum of Cà Rezzonico
Ca’ Rezzonico is a wonderful baroque palace on the Grand Canal where there is the Museum of 18th century Venice, the Venetian Carnival Golden Age. Even today the famous Carnival costumes are inspirited by the fashion and the elegant style of this period.
Begin the visit from the great staircase designed by Giorgio Massari, on the opposite side of the Grand Canal.
At the first floor, you’ll admire paintings, sculptures, 18th century furniture and precious frescoes on the ceilings.
At the second floor, there are Longo’s paintings, that show 18th-century everyday life in Venice, and frescoes from the Villa Zianigo, by Giandomenico Tiepolo.
In the end, on the third floor, the original ambiance of ancient chemistry is reconstructed.
