This tour will take you to the lesser-visited places in Venice, the Scuole (brotherhoods), created by Greeks and Dalmatics during the 15th century.
Start with the marvellous church of Saint George, the most important orthodox church in western Europe, decorated with works by famous Greek painters, where you’ll feel like you are in Greece.
Go to the nearby Museum of Icons, learn about ancient art that is worlds apart from western art.
In the end, your guide will take you to San Giorgio Degli Schiavoni (ancient name for 'Dalmatics'), where the famous Vittore Carpaccio’s cycle is kept. It tells the Saints George, Jerome and Tryphone’s stories, full of everyday details.
