Saint Peter's Tour Itinerary
- The tour starts in front of the Basilica, briefly introducing your guide and the site's history.
- Get straight to the entrance to climb the dome by elevator. Remember that the elevator will leave us on the first terrace. To get to the top, we need to climb around 300 steps!
- Once on top, we have plenty of time to see the city from this privileged point and take unique photographs. This is the perfect point to see Vatican City as it is plenty visible!
- Move for the Basilica, which is entering from a privileged entrance. Here, we visit the niche with the Pietà of Michelangelo, the bronze statue of Saint Peter and the main altar.
- Trace the church's history with the principal works of art and intriguing facts.
- Visit ends in the square, admiring the colossal obelisk and the majestic colonnade of Bernini.
