Description
Explore the Roman influences around town, from its symbolic columns to archaeological finds, churches, and museums preserved in Brindisi, a port city on the Adriatic Sea, in southern Italy’s Apulia region. The red-stone Aragonese Castle stands on a small island at the harbour’s entrance. The tall Monumento al Marinaio d’Italia, a rudder-shaped limestone memorial to sailors, has sea and city views.

Brindisi Tour
Start from the port.
Continue toward the Roman columns, the symbol of the city.
Move to Cathedral Square with the seminar.
Visit the Archaeological Museum, which showcases archaeological relics including bronze statues, stone carvings & ornate crockery, the Temple of St. John, constructed by Justinian I in the 6th century. It stands on John's believed burial site, the Apostle and San Pietro Degli Schiavoni's archaeological area.
Visit many other churches in the old town or take the ferry to visit the National Sailor Monument or the church of Santa Maria del Casale, close to the airport.
