Description

Alberobello & Sassi di Matera Tour

Travel to Sassi di Matera and explore the Old Town.
See houses hewn out of the rocks or buildings made with the local tufa stone.
Walk through the narrow alleys of the old town and meet locals selling the typical street food of this region-Peperoni Cruschi, a sun-dried sweet red pepper.
Buy some handmade objects such as the typical rooster-shaped whistles from the local shops.
Have lunch at a local restaurant in Matera.
Drive to Alberobello, known for its typical cone-shaped roof houses, listed as a UNESCO Heritage site in 1996.
