Description
Explore the southeast corner of the island in this full-day tour of the Baroque towns of Ragusa and Modica. Itinerary
-
Tour of Ragusa and Modica
- Follow your passional guide for a walk "Up and Down" the city of Ragusa and uncover the history and secrets of the southernmost province in Sicily. Rising from the Hyblean mountains and perched on the side of a hill, Ragusa's historic centre is called Ibla and presents itself as an ode to the Sicilian Baroque and its grandiose lines: an art form emerging from a rock.
- Here we will visit a traditional atelier of Sicilian charts, a unique place that takes us back to the early '900, where Sicilian charts were at their peak.
- Continue to Modica, once the capital of the Hyblean country. The city offers stunning views and reveals precious treasures along the way, sensorial as well as architectural. Here you'll stop at a traditional chocolate factory to taste its excellent chocolate, still made according to the Aztec method, dating back centuries ago.
