Guided tour of Monte Sant'Angelo
- Starting from the Castle and admiring the so-called Tower of the Giants from the outside, we will reach the Sanctuary developed around a cave where the Archangel Saint Michael appeared to the Bishop of Siponto on several occasions. We will be welcomed by a mystical atmosphere and intense energy.
- A few meters from the Sanctuary, you will see the façade of the Church of Saint Peter, which is dominated by a pierced canopy depicting four intertwined sirens. Inside is the Baptistry of San Giovanni, known as the “Tomb of Rotari” (606-652) and surmounted by a large dome-shaped monument.
- To the right of the entrance to St. Peter's is the atrium that leads to the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, in Romanesque-Pugliese style,
- Walking through the narrow streets of the Junno district with its whitewashed houses, you will learn its history.
