Itinerary

Day 1: Orvieto
- Individual arrival and accommodation in Orvieto.
- Free time to visit the historic center.
- In the late afternoon, have a meeting with the tour director to receive information about the arrangement.
- Eat dinner at the restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Orvieto to Montefiascone (47 km)
- Breakfast and then everyone in the saddle
- Leave the Umbrian city to head on back roads to Lake Bolsena to follow the Via Francigena up to Rome.
- In the morning, visit Civita di Bagnoregio, the "dying city".
- Pause in Bolsena to discover the medieval quarter, the sanctuary of Santa Cristina and to relax on the lake beaches.
- The tour goes on among olive trees and woods with little hills and wonderful views up to Montefiascone, an important agricultural center of Viterbo, located on the edge of the volcanic crater and enjoy a magnificent view all over the lake.
- Eat dinner on your own.

Day 3: Montefiascone to Sutri (58 km)
- Have breakfast.
- Ride on the ancient paving of the Via Cassia, still in excellent condition, through a hilly stretch. When you arrive on the plain, relax at the tanks Bagnaccio, a series of thermal water pools that have always been frequented by pilgrims who passed.
- Once you are in Viterbo, do not miss the visit to the historical center and to the district of San Pellegrino.
- Continue in the countryside between trails and country roads, towards the delightful small town of Capranica and then towards Sutri, famous for the ruins of an amphitheatre carved into the tuff stone, the Mithras and the beautiful historic center.
- Enjoy dinner at the agritourism.

Day 4: Sutri to The Vatican City (46 km and train)
- Eat breakfast.
- Let Sutri and its beautiful park riding on back roads and enjoying the surrounding countryside.
- Move to the village of Monterosi; then you cross the protected area of Regional Park of Valle del Treja admiring the waterfalls of Monte Gelato, where several western and action movies were shot.
- Campagnano waits for you for a lunch break and a short visit.
- In the afternoon, you continue enjoying the Roman countryside up to reach the areas of Park of Veio (an important city of the Etruscan period) and the characteristic medieval quarter of Isola Farnese.
- At La Stortastation, you catch the train which takes you up to the Saint Peter station in about half an hour.
- Go for dinner on your own.

Day 5: Rome (50 km)
- Have breakfast.
- For today, the guide has planned an amazing tour to explore the Eternal City.
- From St. Peter's Square passing through Castel Sant'Angelo, you take the cycle path along the Tiber that runs between the Baths of Caracalla and the Circus Maximus until you arrive at the Park of the ancient Appian Way. This is a paving road dated about 2300 years ago, surrounded by archaeological sites such as, for example, the catacombs of San Callisto and San Sebastiano, the monumental complex of Maxentius, the tomb of Cecilia Metella.
- Then you come to the Park of the aqueducts, where the scenery is unique in the world: Roman aqueducts stand out in the quiet and pleasant Roman countryside.
- Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
- Enjoy dinner on your own.
