Itinerary

1. Day 1- Flight to Kerman, Rage Canyon, Meymand Village

   • Drive to Mehrabad Airport from the office as we have flight tickets early in the morning at 6:00 (there might be a small change in time according to flight schedules).

   • After, about 1 hour from Tehran to Kerman, we will have breakfast at Kerman followed by a drive to Rafsanjan city (114 km, 2 hours) for trekking inside the Rage Canyon. 

   • Enjoy a delicious lunch of kebabs at the end of the trekking followed by some rest and drive to Meymand village (1h 30 min). This village is a must-visit for it holds some 6,000 years of history and traditions. 

   • Enjoy a specially prepared local dinner and do an overnight stay here. 

   Accommodation: Hand-carved caves in Meymand.

   Meals included: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner.

2. Day 2- Meymand sightseeing - Drive to Mahan

   • After having breakfast at a nice traditional guest house in the village, we will go to visit a beautiful historical rocky hand carved village of Meymand. 

   • Have lunch here at 14:00 and leave for Mahan City (250 km, 4h).

   • On the way, we will visit Shazdeh Garden (Heritage Site) - a nice historical garden built at the time of the Qajar Dynasty.

   • Enjoy dinner at a restaurant in this garden and do overnight stay at Mahan at a traditional cozy hotel inside the garden!

3. Day 3- Mahan Sightseeing - Drive to Shahdad

   • After breakfast at 10:00 am, we will drive to Shahdad (130 km, 2 h) desert to see the famous Kalouts. 

   • Have lunch at a local village in the desert area, inside a local residence or at a caravansary (castle inn) followed by some rest and a short walk through the desert area for about 2 hours.

   • End day with beautiful desert sunsets and do overnight stay at Shahdad at a caravansary.

4. Day 4- Trekking and Off-roading in Desert

   • After breakfast at 9:00 am, we will see the historic Shahdad Castle and then go off-roading in the desert.

   • After lunch in the heart of the desert, we will keep moving and pass by one of the hottest points on Earth, located in Shahdad Desert, named “Gandom Beryan” (means a place where wheat burns!).

   • Depending on weather conditions, we can choose to camp in the desert or go back to the Castle Inn.

5. Day 5- Drive to Rayen - Sightseeing

   • After breakfast at 9:00, we will drive to Rayen City (130 km, 2h) to see the Rayen Citadel from the pre-Islamic Sassanid era. 

   • After lunch and rest, we will walk through a canebrake to reach a natural hot spring for hot water baths and waterfall views, where we can swim in the heart of the desert.

   • End day with traditional local meals and overnight stay at Rayen.

6. Day 6- Drive to Kerman - Fly back to Tehran

   • After breakfast at 9:00 am, we will leave Rayen to go to Kerman (105 km, 1 h 30 min).

   • Do some local sightseeing in the traditional Bazaar areas followed by lunch at a restaurant, and then some shopping for local souvenirs. 

   • Airport transfers to fly back to Tehran (the flight would be for 16:00 or 21:00).
