Itinerary

1. Day 1: Tehran to Damavand Base Camp

   • Meet your local tour guide at 9:00 am for pick-up and transfer. Start driving from Tehran for about 3 hours to Polur, a small village on the way to Damavand trekking route.

   • Have lunch at a local restaurant, before driving out to the base camp of the southern trekking route of Mount Damavand - Goosfandsara (Sheep Pasture) or locally called The Mosque at almost 3,100 m. 

   • Trek up to almost 3,800 m for acclimatization and descend to the base camp.

   • Eat a healthy dinner and spend the night at the base camp in the tents or a room in the Mosque.

2. Day 2: Bargah Sevom

   • Have a good breakfast and leave the base camp at 8:00 am for trek to the Bargah Sevom at almost 4,200 m, which will take about 4 hours.

   • Enjoy your lunch, rest for a while and go for a short acclimatization trek up to almost 4,900 m. This trek will help in better sleep in our next day's Mount Damavand Climb.

   Overnight stay at camp or in tents.

3. Day 3: Mount Damavand Summit

   • Wake up at 5:00 am in the morning, so you can have more daylight while trekking.

   • Eat a good breakfast and climb Damavand Mount, which will take almost about 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy great landscape views.

   • Start to descend to the camp. Have a delicious lunch with some melon or watermelon as dessert, take some rest and descend to the base camp at 4 pm. 

   • Drive to the guest house in 4WD cars and head to a local hot spring pool for a relaxing swim. The waters of the spring emerge from under the Damavand Mount.

   • Relish in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant next to the hot spring pool and stay overnight at a guest house.

4. Day 4: Return to Tehran

   • Go for a short sightseeing tour around the village for an hour to get to know the area. 

   • Leave for Tehran at about 12:00 pm and have lunch at a cosy local restaurant on the way back.
