Old and New Delhi City Tour
- Meet the tour guide and start the tour from old Delhi to the Red Fort. Built by Shahjahan, the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra, the construction lasted from 1639 to 1648 (Monday closed).
- Visit Jama Masjid, built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, which is the largest mosque in India where 25,000 people can pray in the open courtyard at any time. And the length of the mosque is 40 meters (130ft), width is 27 meters (90ft).
- Go to Rajghat. The simple square platform of black marble marks the place where the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was cremated where you can see the internal flame burning.
- Later, explore New Delhi. Start with Humayun's Tomb. It was built by Humayun's widow, Bega Begum (also known as Haji Begum), in 1565-72, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, a Persian architect to Haji Begum in the 16th century with beautiful Char Bagh (garden). The building is made of red sandstone and white marble.
- See India Gate. India Gate is the memorial to soldiers who died in the First World War, built-in 1921.
- Proceed to the President Palace. Designed and developed by the famous English architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869 - 1944), it is the official residence of the president of India. Lastly, visit Qutub minar, one of the tallest minarets (72.5 meters).
