Itinerary

1. Reach Agra and explore the city

   • Morning:
     • Pickup from your hotel in Delhi: Around 6:30 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Delhi by a private car and transferred to the New Delhi Railway Station.
     • Board the Gatimaan Express Train: At approximately 8:10 AM, board the Gatimaan Express (the fastest train between Delhi and Agra), which departs from New Delhi. Enjoy a comfortable ride with onboard breakfast.
   • Arrival in Agra (9:50 AM):
     • Meet your local guide: Upon arrival at Agra Cantt railway station, you’ll be greeted by a local tour guide and chauffeur-driven car waiting for you.
   • Visit the Taj Mahal (10:15 AM):
     • Explore the Taj Mahal: Begin your tour with a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Enjoy the magnificent architecture and the romantic history behind this marble masterpiece built by Emperor Shah Jahan.
   • Lunch Break (12:30 PM):
     • Lunch at a local restaurant: After the Taj Mahal visit, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Agra’s top-rated restaurants, offering a mix of local Mughlai cuisine or international dishes.
   • Agra Fort Visit (1:30 PM):
     • Visit Agra Fort: After lunch, head to the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a majestic red sandstone fort that served as the residence of Mughal Emperors. Explore its palaces, courtyards, and grand halls.
   • Optional Visit to Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) (3:00 PM):
     • If time permits, you can visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often called the "Baby Taj." This beautiful marble structure inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.
   • Shopping or Leisure (3:30 PM):
     • Time for shopping: You may have time to visit local handicraft shops, where you can buy Agra’s famous marble inlay work, jewellery, and carpets.
   • Return to Railway Station (5:00 PM):
     • Transfer to Agra Cantt Railway Station: After sightseeing, you’ll be taken back to the Agra railway station to catch your return train.
   • Board the Gatimaan Express Train (5:50 PM):
     • Departure from Agra to Delhi: Board the Gatimaan Express for your return journey to Delhi, which departs at 5:50 PM and arrives in Delhi at 7:30 PM. Enjoy evening snacks onboard.
   • Arrival in Delhi (7:30 PM):
     • Transfer to your hotel: Upon arrival at New Delhi Railway Station, a private car will transfer you back to your hotel.
