Description
Take a road trip in the Indian state of Uttarakhand for a healthy dose of a spiritual and adventure filled getaway. Participate in the Ganga Aarti in Haridwar and visit three of the Panch prayags on the way to Joshimath. Then it's time for skiing in Auli, river rafting in Rishikesh and trek from Auli to Chattrakund lake.

Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar (230 kms, 5-6 hours drive)
Post breakfast, begin your drive to Haridwar. It is largely visited by devotees of Lord Shiva and River Goddess Ganga who throng here especially for the Magh Mela and world-renowned Kumbh Mela.
On arrival, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax.
In the evening, visit Har-ki-Pauri, the famous ghat on the banks of the Ganga and witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti, a sight that you will remember for your lifetime.

Day 2: Haridwar to Joshimath (276 km, 8-9 hours drive)
Pack breakfast, get on the road and start driving to Joshimath/ Jyotirmath.
On the way, halt at Devprayag, the holiest of all the Panch Prayags, situated at the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers known as Sangam. Then at Rudraprayag, the meeting point of River Alaknanda and River Mandakini. At Karnprayag, the confluence of Rivers Alaknanda and Pindar.
Upon arrival at Joshimath, check-in at the hotel. If time and energy permits, explore the surroundings. Visit the gateway to Hem Kund and Badrinath.

Day 3: Joshimath to Auli (16 km, 2 hours drive)
Post breakfast, drive to Auli. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Auli is India's premier ski resort destination.
Enjoy skiing on the slopes of Auli with the assistance of the resort's instructors. The ski slopes offer a panoramic view of high Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, 7818 m.
Overnight stay at one of the resorts in Auli.

Day 4: Explore Auli
- Visit Gurso Bugyal, a picturesque location from where you get to enjoy magnificent views of Trishul Peak, Dron Parvat and Nanda Devi.
Head to Chattrakund, a pristine lake that is known for its crystal clear blue waters. It is also an ideal picnic spot for those who love nature and its silence.
Another important attraction you must visit is Auli Artificial Lake, which is one of the highest man-made lakes in the world, surrounded by mighty Himalayas peaks.

Day 5: Auli to Rishikesh (254 km, 7-8 hours' drive)
Visit the popular religious sites of the area, the Narsingh Temple and Shankaracharya Math.
Later in the day, hit the road to Rishikesh- the yoga capital of the World, which is the home to several Ashrams.
On arrival, check-in to the hotel.
If time and energy permits, you can explore the surroundings on your own. Rishikesh is just 24 km from Haridwar. The place is not only known for ashrams, yoga and meditation opportunities, but is also a popular destination for river rafting.
