- Begin by visiting the Taj Mahal- 'Crown of the Palace', an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (r. 1628–1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the centrepiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall. (Duration: 3 hours)
- Next, proceed to explore the Agra Fort, a historical fort in the Indian city of Agra. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. It was also known as the "Lal-Qila", "Fort Rouge", or "Qila-i-Akbari". (Duration: 2 hours)
- Afterwards, sightsee the Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah, a Mughal mausoleum in the city of Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is often described as a "jewel box", sometimes called the "Baby Taj". (Duration: 1 hour)
- Later, return to Delhi to conclude the tour.
