Jerusalem Tour
Drive east from Tel-Aviv to the northernmost point of the Dead Sea.
Pass through the Jericho, Beth-Haarava Israeli settlement and St. Gerassimos.
Drive through the Jordan valley and stop at the Baptismal site on the Jordan River, Qasr el Yahud, the Castle of the Jews. It is the traditional spot where the New Testament narrative of the baptism of Jesus took place. According to tradition, it is also where the Israelites crossed over the Jordan River and Elijah the Prophet ascended to heaven.
Move onward to the synagogue of Beth-Alpha, a National Park located at the nearby kibbutz Heftziba contains an ancient Byzantine-era synagogue, with a mosaic floor depicting the lunar Hebrew months as they correspond to the signs of the zodiac.
Stop to see Tel Bet Shean, also known as Scythopolis Nysa (the Jewish sage says, "If the Garden of Eden is in the land of Israel, then its gate is Beth Shean").
Ascend to the "Belvoir Fortress", a 12th-century Crusader fortress in northern Israel, south of the Sea of Galilee.
Travel back to the hotel in Tel Aviv.
