Day Tour in Samaria
- Make your way through the plains of Dothan and pass through the town of Jenin (Ganim) and listen to the talk about Joseph, his family story and about how Jesus dealt with the relationship between Jews and Samaritans.
- After that, stop at Sebastia (previously Samaria city), established by the Israelites as an alternative capital to Jerusalem. Walk through its rich historical ruins.
- Continue to pass through Shechem (Nablus of today) located between the two biblical mountains: Ebal and Gerizim.
- Then stop at the Church of Jacob's Well to read and reflect on the Gospel. Grab a unique chance to drink of the same well that Jesus drank from and take some of its Holy water homes.
- Climb up to Mt. Gerizim (Mt. of Blessing) and "take the oath to obey God's commandments", as the people of Israel did some 3300 years ago, as well as have a wonderful panoramic view walking to the Way of the Patriarchs. It will be a great opportunity to talk about the Samaritans and their religion and culture and see their sacrifice altar.
- There is an option to enter the Samaritan museum (not included and based on availability) to hear from the Rabbi in more detail.
