Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrive at the Kalimarau Airport

   • Meet your guide at Kalimarau airport, and transfer to the harbour.

   • Board a speed boat to the island and drive through Celebes sea (around 3 hours).

   • Arrive at Nabucco Island Resort to check in and get a briefing on the itinerary. 

   Have dinner and spend the time relaxing. 

2. Day 2- Enjoy three rounds of diving

   • Have breakfast, wear dive gear and proceed to the dive center.

   • Wait for a diving gear and diving equipment check, settle on the boat, and get a briefing from the diving instructor. 

   • Prepare for your first dive while driving around 8 minutes from the jetty. The first diving round will last for around 60 minutes, including a safety stop.

   • Return to the resort and get ready for the second dive to the Leo point.

   • Drive around for 10 minutes, followed by a preparation dive, equipment check, and then dive into the water.

   • Return to the resort and have lunch time at Nabucco Restaurant for excellent food with western and local cuisine.

   • Get ready for the third dive around 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon. 

   • Go to the Sea Wall Garden spot with the dive master for the third round of diving.

   • Return back and relax. Have coffee, and enjoy the sunset view, while getting technical lessons from your instructor.

   Have dinner and stay for the night. 

3. Day 3- Dive around the Georgian forest

   • Have breakfast and prepare yourself for the dive, and proceed to the dive center.

   • After the diving equipment check, settle on the boat and get a briefing from the instructor.

   • Prepare for the first dive while driving around 20 minutes from the jetty and dive for around 60 minutes (including a safety stop).

   • Return to the resort and get ready for the second dive beside Gorgonian forest.

   • Drive around for 10 minutes, followed by preparation dive, equipment check, then dive around the Light house.

   • Head back to the resort and proceed for the third round of diving (of about 45 minutes) around 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon. It is a dive spot with strong currents, suitable only for experienced divers. 

   • Take off your diving gears and other equipment to return back for a relaxing evening time. 

   • Get briefing for technical diving for the next day's dive.

   • Prepare for a diving trip to Kakaban (with a 4-time diving possibility) then service inter-fall decompression. You can pre-order your lunch 1 day before between dinner time on third day. Coffee/tea is always served on the boat during the trip.

4. Day 4- Dive at the second best diving spot of Barracuda

   • Enjoy breakfast and get ready for a diving trip to the second-best spot in this area- Barracuda point in Kakaban.

   • Prepare to dive amid strong sea currents, and you may spot hammerhead sharks, great whites, black tip shark, and a school of barracuda. Go past the great reef to see the beautiful reefs, colourful fish, and more.

   • Prepare for the second dive (depending on the currents), to see several big fish, barracuda, and different kinds of sharks.

   • Have lunch en route and go snorkelling in the Jellyfish Lake of Kakaban, home to 4 species of jellyfish.

   • Continue to Sangalaki island for another challenging dive spot, driving there from Kakaban for around 30 minutes, and dive with giant manta rays. 

   • Check with the dive master regarding Manta Parade, an easy dive spot of shallow, flat, and sandy area.

   • Return to the resort, clean the gear and allow them to dry before packing.

   Have dinner while enjoying the sunset. 

5. Day 5- Departure

   • Complete the formalities, depart from the resort and transfer to the airport (or drive back to Berau and Sayonara island).
