Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrive in Cemoro Lawang

   • Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up from Juanda airport/hotel. We will drive 3 hours to Cemoro Lawang (the best view to see Mount Bromo and Sand of Sea) to check in at the hotel. (Cemara Indah/ Bromo Permai / Cafe Lava in Cemoro Lawang)

2. Day 2- Visit the Summit of Mt Bromo

   • Visit early morning to see the spectacular sunrise from Mt Penanjakan with a 4WD jeep. You will enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Semeru and Mt Bromo from the summit of Mt Penanjakan.
   • Drive through a vast sandy area (Lautan Pasir = ocean of sands) across to go to the summit of Mt Bromo. It is a concrete well-marked step to the edges of a great crater. From here, you can see the ocean beach and view the Hindu temple held by Tengger Tribe from Bromo. Then we will drive to Bondowoso take around 5 hours.

   Overnight at Ijen View Hotel Bondowoso.

3. Day 3- See the Kawah Ijen volcano

   • Drive a short way to the start of the trail early morning, well before sunrise (to see Blue Fire, you need to leave about midnight from the accommodation), that leads up to the beautiful active crater of Kawah Ijen volcano (about 1 hr climbing) with its famous blue acid lake (which is the most acid in the world!) and the hot, partly liquid sulphur deposits. The fumaroles are so hot that sulphur comes out as green vapour. After plenty of observation time, we leave the Ijen Plateau.
   • Head to Ketapang Harbour, which takes around 2 hours, and then drive to Surabaya (around 6-7 hours).
