Ubud and Kintamani
- Arrive at Ubud and meet with your local tour guide.
- Experience the Barong and Kris Dance, one of the island's most iconic dance-drama. The story is about Barong, a king of the spirits and a leader of the good, and his enemy named Rangda, the demon queen and the mother of all spirit guarders. Traditionally, the dance represents the story of the eternal battle between good and bad.
- Visit Celuk Village, situated in the southern part of Ubud, is famous for its gold and silver handicrafts including various types of rings, necklaces, earrings, hairpins, brooch, and others. Crafts here are made by the locals and are exported abroad. They make the jewelry using local and unique resources, for example, they use a local fruit called "filing-filing" as glue.
- Travel to Mas Village, a village in Ubud known for its unique art and wooden carvings. The village is filled with maestro carvers. They use the best woods in terms of quality for their art including sandal wood, ebony wood, crocodile wood, and others. Their wood carvings depict the stories, cultures, and the daily life of a Balinese.
- Next, visit the Tirta Empul Temple, a Hindu Balinese water temple on the way to Kintamani Volcano, famous for its holy spring water, where the locals go for ritual purification.
- Explore the Kintamani Volcano, one of the active volcanos of Indonesia from up close, and then enjoy the view of Lake Batur.
- Visit the Coffee Plantation on your way back to Ubud. Balinese coffee is famous around the world for its special flavor and aroma which comes from adding local spices to it.
- Travel to the Tegalalang Rice Terrace Scenic, a beautifully terraced hillside offering rice paddies amid lush greenery. You can also try fun activities here like zip-lining and riding the jungle swings.
