Itinerary

1. Day 1: Cemoro Lawang Village

   • You will be picked up by your guide from your hotel in Surabaya. Leave from Surabaya for Cemoro Lawang village in the Probolinggo District.

   • Check in at your hotel. You can spend your evening exploring the village and observing the life of the Tenggerese people. 

2. Day 2: Mt. Bromo and Mt. Semeru

   • Travel on a jeep and pass through the sea of sand. Climb the Pananjakan Peaks to enjoy the sunrise, at an elevation of 2700m above sea level, and to see a panoramic view of Mt. Bromo and Mt. Semeru, the highest peaks of the Java island. 

   • Capture the panoramic views of Tengger Plateau, where Mt. Bromo and Mt. Semeru are situated. Trek or ride a horse to the foot of Mt. Bromo. Pass through the Sea of sand, towards the Poten temple, and climb 250 steps into the peak of Mt. Bromo.

   • After you reach the top, enjoy the crater, then head back to Cemoro Lawang village to have breakfast at the hotel.

   • Check out from the hotel and continue to Bondowoso city.

   • Check in at the hotel at Bondowoso city. Relax at the Blawan waterfall or the various hot springs nearby. 

3. Day 3: Paltuding

   • Start your day by visiting Paltuding, the entrance of Ijen Crater. Upon arrival at Paltuding ranger post, trek towards the crater for about 3 km (90 minutes).

   • Meet the sulphur miners, who climb up and down the crater, carrying sulphur rocks in their bamboo baskets.

   • After the climb, descend and head back to Paltuding. Proceed towards the Ketapang Harbor (Banyuwangi) or head back to Surabaya.
