Visit the following places on this tour:
- National Museum that was established in 1778 by the Dutch. It was the first and the biggest museum in Southeast Asia and a favourite reference for all museum lovers. There are collections of more than 1,40,000 artifacts here. The collections include ancient statues, inscriptions, categorized as ethnography, bronze, prehistoric, china, textile, numismatic, historical relic and precious artifacts.
- National Monument which is a landmark monument of Jakarta. Standing at 132 meters, this monument is topped by a glittering flame that symbolizes the nation’s independence.
- The Catholic Cathedral Church & Istiqlal Mosque. Facing the Catholic Cathedral is Jakarta's principal place of Muslim worship, the modernistic Masjid Istiqlal, constructed under Soekarno and is reputedly the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the Cathedral church was built in 1891.
- Jakarta Monument Proclamation was constructed at the Indonesian Proclamation (declaration) of Independence on 17th August 1945. This monument features the statue of the first Indonesian president.
- Art & Antique Markets to see paintings, wooden carvings, and other artworks. Traditional and contemporary art performances can be seen here regularly.
- Batik Shop to see an interesting permanent exhibition of Batik, traditional cloth from Indonesia, both in classic and modern designs.
