A Visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park
- Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest and the largest national park in the Republic of Croatia, receiving the status in 1949!
- The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 (the process of tufa formation, through which tufa barriers and subsequently lakes are formed, is the outstanding universal value for which Plitvice Lakes received UNESCO's recognition).
- When we arrive at Plitvice Lakes NP, you will be dropped off at the designated entrance, where tickets will be provided to you, and you will meet your licenced local guide.
- The guided tour of Plitvice Lakes takes 3-4 hours, during which you will hike through breathtaking scenery, enjoy a boat ride across Lake Kozjak and ride a panoramic bus.
- Appreciate that the Park is home to diverse flora and fauna and show respect by following the Rules of conduct.
- After the visit, we will take you to a local restaurant for a lunch break.
