Pacaya has erupted a number of times in the recent past and has had an active status since 1965. It stands at more than 8,300 feet (2.5 km) at its tallest point and is part of the Central American Volcanic Arc. Tour Pacaya Volcano
In the morning, your Guatemala tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in Guatemala City to take you to the Pacaya volcano.
Once there, interact with some small communities close to the volcano such as San Vicente de Pacaya. Learn about their lives before beginning the hike of this notorious volcano.
Begin the hike which takes 2 hours to complete. On reaching the top, sit down to have your sack lunch and view the magnificent vistas surrounding you before heading back to the base. Return to your accommodation in Guatemala.
