I 'm Markella and i'm very lucky to do my job ,in one of the most beautiful countries.I' ve been working as a licenced tour guide since 2010,specialising in day trips in Athens , in round trips in the surrounding area,the islands of Mykonos and Santorini,as well as longer tours in continental Greece.
As a graduate of the School of Tourist Guides operated by the Organisation of Tourism Education and Training of Guides in Greece and a member of World Federation of Tourist Guide Association, i am certified to conduct tours of the highest professional level.I am fluent English and French speaker and enjoy leading individuals and groups in both languages. In 2012 ,i attended the 50-hour seminar "Training the Tourist Guides, Athens, 2012",organized by the World Federation of Tourist Guides Association (W.F.T.G.A.)
In 2016,i achieved Level 2 Sommelier through courses at Wine Spirits Professional Center from W.S.E.T London and i recommend not missing the winneries of Santorini,The Peloponnese and The Northern Greece in the region ofMacedonia and Thrace.
.It was always my dream to be a tour guide. Over the years i have discovered how many opportunities there are to enrich the experiences of visitors to my country combining mythology,history ,archeology, sights ,local life and local Greek cuisine.
