Tour to Kissamos area: villages, landscape, culture and local cuisine.
- Starting from our pre-arranged meeting point, we will drive through the area of Maleme, among PDO orange and olive groves, and visit the early-Christian rotunda church of Archangel Michael, one of the two rotunda churches in Greece. The 1,400-year-old monument has recently been restored and opened to the public.
- Close to the area, there is the Ancient Olive Tree of Vouves, which is more than 3000 years old. The local family business of oil and honey productions "Idiosmos" is waiting for us to demonstrate how the products are traditionally made. Tasting experience.
- We will admire the strange Cretan landscape of Komolithee and then drive through the Topolia gorge to visit the cave of Agia Sofia ( Holy Wisdom Cave). If desired, we will have lunch at the traditional restaurant with locally produced meat and vegetables in the area.
