Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Banjul
- Arrive at Banjul.
- Transfer to Senegambia Beach Hotel. In evening, meet with the local representative by 7 pm to discuss all arrangements.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 2: Excursion to Fajara Golf Course Kotu Ponds and Kotu Creek
- A morning excursion to Fajara Golf Course Kotu Ponds and Kotu Creek will start with some of the common species such as whimbrels, shanks, parrots, starlings, councils, etc.
- Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon excursion to the Madiana area for hornbills, warblers, rollers, starlings etc.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 3: Abuko Nature Reserve
- Morning Excursion to Abuko Nature Reserve, the first protected area of the Gambia for target species such as goshawks, blue-bills, turacos, bee-eaters, hornbills, etc.
- Lunch at Lamin Lodge.
- In the afternoon, visit Lamin Fields to look for waxbills, shrikes, long claws, herons, kites, eagles, and many more.

Day 4: Pirang, Farabasutu and Bonto area
- Morning Excursion to Pirang, Farabasutu and Bonto area for some more target species such as cranes, hawks,pelicans, queleas, sunbirds terns and so on.
- Lunch at Sita Joyeh Resort.
- In the afternoon visit the Farasutu Community forest area where looking for owls, nightjars, turaco, cuckoos, redstart and many more.

Day 5: Marakissa/Darsilami area
- Full-day Excursion to Marakissa/Darsilami area for some more species such as painted snipe, honeyguides, starlings, eagles and lots more.
- Lunch at Marakissa River Camp

Day 6: Tanji Bird Reserve
- Morning visit to Tanji Bird Reserve for ospreys, terns, bulls, shrikes, Bishops, rollers, leafloves, bee-eaters, swallows and so on.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- In the afternoon visit to Banjul Wetlands and Coast for spoonbills, storks, pelicans, oystercatchers sanderling, shanks etc.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 7: Brufut forest
- Morning visit to Brufut forest area to look for shrikes, starlings, waxbills, rollers and many more. Lunch at hotel Afternoon back to the hotel for a siesta.

Day 8: South Bank road to Tendaba
- Breakfast at hotel Morning, travel South Bank road to Tendaba look out for bateleurs, goshawks, buzzrdas, rollers, bee-eaters, hornbills, shrikes so on.
- Lunch Tendaba camp
- In the afternoon boat trip to the north bank of the river Gambia, the top targets will include Pel’s fishing owls, white-backed night herons, storks, darters, falcons, whimbrels, etc.

Day 9: River Gambia - Kiang West National Park
- Morning boat trip to the north bank of the River Gambia for the missing targets species and also crocodiles and otters.
- Lunch at Tendaba Camp.
- In the afternoon Batelling South Track to the Kiang West National Park for ground hornbills, battlers, hawks buzzards, falcons, tree pipits, courses, barbets etc.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 10: Farafenni to North Bank
- Leave Tendaba Camp after breakfast Cross river at Farafenni to North Bank road Travel North Bank road with birding along the way for some main targets Egyptian plovers, coucals whydahs, flycatchers, Rollers, queleas Picnic Lunch from Tendaba eaten on the way.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 11: Sapu
- Travel by boat from camp to Sapu for weavers, kingfishers, swamp flycatcher, night herons, ducks, gooses, vultures, marabout storks etc.
- Lunch on the boat.
- In the afternoon local birding on our back to Janjangbureh.

Day 12: Kunkilling Forest Bansang Quarry
- Excursion to Kunkilling Forest Bansang Quarry for carmine bee-eaters, rollers, vultures, hawks and so many forest species. Picnic Lunch from Baobolong Annex Camp eaten on the way
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 13: South Bank road
- Leave Baobolong camp after breakfast on the South Bank road. Make stops on the way, particularly Jakhaly Pacharr rice fields, bitterns, marabou storks, ibises, hawks etc. Picnic
- Lunch from Baobolong Annex eaten on the way late afternoon Batelling East Track for some some forest species and overnight at Tendaba Camp.

Day 14: Tendaba
- Morning local birding around Tendaba to look for some more forest species.
- Lunch at Tendaba Camp.
- In the afternoon, drive back to the Coast on South Bank Road and continue birding.
Dinner and overnight at Lemon Creek 3-star Beach Hotel.

Day 15: Departure
- Breakfast at Beach Hotel.
- Morning bird-watching near the coast.
- Lunch at Lemon Creek Beach Hotel.
- Afternoon transfer to Banjul Airport.
