Description
Go on a 5-day tour to the Volta region in Ghana from Accra. Take a boat ride in Akosombo, learn about the local cultures of Ghana and get to know about eco-tourism practices in Kente village. Visit the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary to interact with the Mona monkeys, go on a short trek in Mount Afadjato, Ghana's highest mountain and relish at the Wli waterfalls before returning to Accra.
Itinerary

Day 1: Accra- Akosombo- Wli
- Arrive at Accra, meet with your tour guide and depart for Wli in the Volta Region.
- Halt at Akosombo to enjoy a boat cruise on the world’s largest artificial lake and view Ghana’s hydroelectric Dam.
- Reach Wli, have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Kente Village
- Have an early morning breakfast and travel to Kente Village.
- Visit Tafi Abuife Kente Village; Tafi Abuife is popular for Kente weaving. Kente is a colourful Ghanaian traditional fabric that is worn mostly on important occasions and celebrations. Many of the kente cloth that we see in Ghanaian markets actually comes from Tafi Abuife and Bonwire.
- Travel back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary
- Wake up early in the morning and travel to Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary to play and feed the Mona monkeys.
- Learn about the community and how eco-tourism has contributed to the development of Kente village.
- Travel back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Climb Mount Afadjato
- Have an early morning breakfast and go hiking in the highest mountain in Ghana, ‘Afadjato’, which is 885m above sea level. The trek will take around 3 hours.
- Enjoy the view from the mountain, click lots of photographs and spot the local flora and fauna of the region.
- Hike back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Wli Waterfalls- Accra
- Wake up early in the morning and travel to Wli Waterfalls, West Africa's highest waterfalls.
- Spend time near the waterfall and enjoy nature.
- Head back to Accra and transfer to your hotel/ airport.
