Description
A trip through the best parts of Old Tbilisi and the ancient capital, Mtskheta, in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti province of Georgia. One of the oldest cities of Georgia and its former capital, it is located approximately 20 kilometres north of Tbilisi, at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. At the latter, visit the religious sites and a museum, stroll down the famous Sharden market and visit its legendary sulfur baths.

Sites to visit in Mtskheta
After having breakfast, go to Mtskheta, the ancient capital that was the religious and economic center of Georgia.
Here, visit Jvris church VI C, UNESCO, the place where paganism was converted to Christianity. From here, enjoy picturesque views of the ancient capital and the confluence of the rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi.
Visit the Mtskheta Archeological museum and Svetitskhoveli cathedral XI C, a UNESCO site.
After lunch, return to Tbilisi and visit the old city to find out how different confessions still exist in peace next to each other. Also, visit the legendary sulfur baths and most popular street Sharden with its cafes and salons.
