Travel to Toloshi, hike to the Khvaviskhevi fortress, caves like the Gelsunda caves and to the underground village of Gundi and the caves near Lebisi, marvel at the Agara & Gavetti Church and be smitten by the beauty of stars, waterfalls, and the beauty of the canyon in Nijgori as you rest for the night.
Itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi - Toloshi
Transport from Tbilisi to Toloshi with stops in Akhaltsikhe, a small city of about 50,000 and the capital of Samtskhe-Javakheti. The city has been around for at least 800 years and was a regional administrative centre for the Ottomans from the sixteenth century up to the Russo-Turkish War, Borjomi, and possibly in Gori and Mtskheta too.
Hike for 4km to Kisiskhevi Castle, built somewhere between the 16th and 18th century. It has a proximity to a present bridge over the Kisiskhevi River caves and spend the night near the magnificent waterfalls.

Day 2: Gundi - Lebisi
Hike to the underground village of Gundi (3 km).
Visit the caves near Lebisi.
Stay overnight near Lebisi.

Day 3: Agara - Gavetti - Tmogvi
- Hike to the Agara and Gavetti church (6 km)
- Travel from there to Vardzia (4 km).
- Pitstop at Tmogvi in the afternoon.
Call it a night in the fortress or in a guesthouse.

Day 4: Pia - Nijgori
Head to Pia (6 km), the Gelsunda caves (3 km), and Khertvisi another (2 km).
Visit Nijgori in the afternoon.
Spend the night in a cave or the canyon near Nijgori for an altogether different experience.

Day 5: Saro - Tbilisi
Kickstart your morning, with a short excursion to Saro and its old huge stonewalls.
Ride back to Tbilisi in a car en-route passing Paravani lake.
