1. London City Tour

   • Find out how, over history, Shoreditch has gone from being the first and original Theatreland in the XVI C to the most notorious Victorian slum, backdrop for the vile Jack the Ripper's murders. 
   • Browse Spitalfields market and marvel at the amazing street art which has turned the neglected area around Brick Lane into a fascinating outdoor art gallery (you'll find a couple of Banksy's, too!).
   • Helped by the London 2012 Olympics' budget, Tower Hamlets -one of the poorest boroughs in the country- has spectacularly reinvented itself as a trendy hub for glamorous clubbers and fastidious foodies.
   • Starting from Tower Hill, you'll discover secluded gardens, deconsecrated churches, disused train stations, obscure monuments, ancient pubs, Roman ruins, converted markets, XVII c alleyways and a handful of sculptures and ornaments thrown in for good measure.
   • Highlights of the tour:

     • Guildhall, a municipal building in the Moorgate area
     • St Martins-Le-Grand,  a former liberty within the City of London
     • St Paul's, an Anglican cathedral in London
     • Fleet St, an important through route since Roman times
     • Strand, a major thoroughfare in the City of Westminster
     • Covent Garden, renowned for its luxury fashion and beauty stores as well as award-winning restaurants and theatres
     • Tottenham Court Rd, a significant shopping street
