Warwick Castle is a medieval castle developed from a wooden fort, originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068. The original wooden motte-and-bailey castle was rebuilt in stone during the 12th century. Rich in history and very well preserved, this is a splendid site to climb the towers, explore the battlements, and see the dreadful dungeons.
