Your guide is Raymond McIntosh, Corporal in the Atholl Highlanders - the Duke of Atholl’s unique private army.He has had the privilege of being part of the Guard of Honour for the Queen at the Braemar HIghland Games and was recently presented to her Majesty while representing the Highlanders at Windsor Castle for the Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations.This summer he will be part of the Regiment that will march to open the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the beginning of August.Raymond was born in Killiecrankie and brought up in Pitlochry at the heart of the beautiful Perthshire hills.Raymond has often addressed the Haggis at Burns’ Suppers and has hosted many ceilidhs over the years.He is a Director of the Pitlochry Highland Games company and amongst his hobbies include skiing, kayaking, hillwalking, winter climbing and Highland Dancing as well as playing premier league volleyball for a Perthshire team.Raymond is highly regarded in the local community being involved in a number of local projects and groups.He has a vast knowledge and understanding of the area, its people and the unique culture of Scotland.Raymond can take you on historical, cultural and scenic tours where you will gain an insight into how it feels to live in Scotland, past and the present, among the stunning tree lined mountains, straths and glens.
